We started this tour on the 13th of November in San Jose, Costa Rica. The 7 of us had a nice dinner at the hotel restaurant and got to know one another. That night, I went to bed happily anticipating getting to our first eco-lodge. The next day we spent more time in the bus than we wanted due to heavy traffic and the slow, winding roads that are a part of life in Costa Rica. But, that day, we did have a great afternoon boat tour in a wetlands area teeming with wildlife. Over the next 9 days we experienced another couple of boat tours, a few more slow roads in Costa Rica, more time in the bus sharing stories and photography experiences, and 2 more wonderful lodges. The bird activity at each place we visited was out of this world and I took over 30,000 images in 9 days. As always, I’d like to thank the 6 of you who chose to join me on this adventure, and thank you to Carlos, our caring and careful driver, and Muchas Gracias to Costa Rica! We all loved your nature, your wildlife and your people! I, for one, can’t wait to come back.
